What do I need if I want to check something out of the library?
Your current NSCC ID is preferred, but we also accept another photo ID. As long as we can verify that you are who you say you are, we can then bring up your library record using your name.
If my instructor says there is something “on reserve” in the Library, where do I go?
Come to the circulation desk! We will need to know one of the following: your instructor’s name, the course name or the course number.
Does the library have a stapler I can use? Do you have a paper clip? Can I borrow a pen?
Yes, yes, and yes!We have a stapler, hole punch, pencil sharpener, and paper cutter on a counter for anyone to use. We will lend a pen or pencil, scissors, and whiteout. We will give a piece of tape, a paper clip, or a rubber band. Being prepared as a student is important, but everyone needs a helping hand once in a while.
Can I get someone to help me search OhioLINK?
Of course! Just ask at the circulation desk. Many of our library staff members are current students, and they are great at showing you how to get started. If you need more in-depth research help, you can ask for that too! We have a librarian who would be happy to sit down with you.
Can I have food or drink in the library?
Yes and No – If the drink is in a lidded container and as long as you are not seated near a computer. We don’t mind people studying or relaxing with a snack, but computers and food/drink don’t mix!
