NSCC Institutional Scholarships

Below are scholarships that are offered through Northwest State Community College.

Building Ohio's Sustainable Energy Future
	Number of Scholarships: Varies Amount: $2,750 per year Eligibility: The recipient must be an Ohio Resident, with an expected May/June high school graduation date and a minimum GPA of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale. The recipient should have scored a minimum of a 20 on the ACT, or 920 on the SAT and plan to pursue a major at NSCC in engineering, science, or renewable energy. Applicants should express a strong desire for a career in an environmental science and plan to transfer to a four-year institution. Applications are due April 1st.

Science and Math Education in Action
	Number of Scholarships: Varies Amount: $2,000 per year Eligibility: The recipient must be an Ohio Resident, with an expected May/June high school graduation date and a minimum GPA of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale. The recipient should have scored a minimum of a 20 on the ACT, or 920 on the SAT. The student should plan to enroll at NSCC for one to two years and then transfer to BGSU and major in education in one of the following fields: life science, sciences, mathematics, or physics. Scholarships recipients in good academic standing at the point of transfer may be able to continue their award at BGSU. Applications are due April 1st.

Tech Prep Scholarship
	Amount: $2,000 Eligibility: Successful Completion of Tech Prep program with a 2.75 cumulative GPA at the end of seventh semester of high school. Enroll full-time (at least 12 credit hours) at NSCC the fall after graduation from high school, continuing in the same career field as high school. To maintain this scholarship, the students must maintain a 2.5 GPA, remain in career field and enroll full-time for each semester following high school.
