If so, you’re not alone! Each year, at least one third of new students at Northwest State Community College enroll as undecided majors. Being an undecided student is no reason to panic! Your first year of college can be a great time to investigate different careers and areas of study. As a matter of fact, it is estimated that students will change their major two or three times during their college career and many of these students believed they were certain of their major from the very beginning. That is why now is the best time to explore and be sure of the career path you choose. The Career Services Office works with students of all ages who are choosing or changing their career plans. Because change is now the hallmark of our educational and career life, it is important to know how to manage that change. Learning the career search process is a skill that will be useful to you many times throughout your professional life.
