COMPASS Assessment

COMPASS Testing

All new degree seeking students are required to take the COMPASS test. This is an assessment test that is used to help place new students in the appropriate math and English courses. The results of the COMPASS test do not determine admission into the College.

How do I Sign Up?
  Once you have submitted an Application for Admission to Northwest State and paid the $20 application fee, you may sign up for the COMPASS test. Sign up online by clicking on a testing time below, or by calling (419) 267-1320. You should allow about one and a half hours for testing.
   
What Should I do Before Testing?
  • Bring a calculator with you. (No graphing calculators permitted)
  • Review sample test questions on the Web:www.act.org/compass/sample

Please call in advance if it is necessary to reschedule your testing date.
