NSCC Student Success Plan

At NSCC, we are committed to helping students attain skills that will advance them in their career or toward a four-year degree. In order to document educational accountability and maintain a clear focus on student learning, the college has developed a plan to help ensure student success. The plan consists of three categories which outline programs and services already in place at NSCC:

1. General Education—learning outcomes and assessment of student achievement of those outcomes in General Education
2. Undergraduate Programs—learning outcomes and assessment of student achievement of those outcomes in undergraduate majors
3. Special Features—learning opportunities, programs, and initiatives that enhance classroom learning and support students in realizing their personal and professional goals

These components are presented in accordance with the goals of the Planning Committee on Higher Learning Accountability and Productivity, convened by the Ohio Board of Regents in June 2005, to respond to issues concerning assessment and accountability among Ohio’s colleges and universities.
